Number 6 Spanner Bit

Occasionally one encounters installations of hardware in the field where tamper-resistant fasteners have been used in an attempt to dissuade casual removal or disassembly of an RFID badge reader, a panel, a cabinet, or a padlock hasp.  One of the popular types of these faseners is the "Spanner" or "Snake Eye" variety which feature only two small holes.

These are #6 size Spanner bits, which is the default size used in "tamper resistant" HID credential reader deployment. If you are working with access control systems and attempting to place an ESPkey behind a reader, then keeping a bit like this in your kit can be an effective way to be prepared in case you come up against a tamper-resistant installation.
