Bump keys sold by Red Team Tools are produced to our unique specification based around code-cutting each bitting position slightly deeper than the maximum factory depth.

This is a specially-modified Yale 999A blank that goes beyond the traditional bump key design.  Based upon research into many varieties of Yale locks, this is a key designed to perform bumping attacks against Yale (and Yale-compatible*) locks using the E1R (also known as "Yale Numer 8") keyway.  This bump key can pass into traditional 5-pin locks that would normally accomodate the 999 blank (and even simpler 4-pin locks that would make use of a 4-position 999B blank) while also easily reaching all pin chambers of a 6-pin 999A style lock mechanism.

* NOTES - The Yale product line is extensive, with many other keyway profiles that are not directly compatible with the E1R pattern.  This key will not pass into keyways for the "G" or "S" or "T" lock familes from Yale.  Red Team Tools is developing an alternate product to address that need.

This key will not pass into locks which make use of the "Reverse Yale" or "999R" keyway.  Due to the fact that the most frequent use for said keyways tends to be on US Postal System locks, Red Team Tools does not have plans at this time to develope a product to address this target system.

Final Note: Many brands of lock such as Abus and others especially in Europe (as well as generic "no name" brands) make use of the E1R keyway but can do so with slight variations in the spacing between their bitting positons.  While the Red Team Tools Yale Super Bump Key may pass into these keyways, we cannot guarantee perfect compatibility when it comes to striking the pin stacks within during the performance of a bumping attack.  Only name-brand Yale products can be guaranteed to have pinning and spacing that is 100% compatible with this bump key.

In certain circumstances, especially in cases where only a 5-pin cylinder is being approached, it may be best to install either 1 or even possibly 2 bump-assisting rubber padding rings up around the collar of the key, just below the bow.

All "Super" bump keys purchased from Red Team Tools have two of our Bump Key Bands included for free.  Additional bags of Bump Key Bands are listed separately.
