Many of you have reached out to us here at Red Team Tools (especially either around the holiday season or near to a loved one's birthday) to ask us, "What are the essentials that someone would need if they've never really tried lockpicking before now but want to get into it?"  After ages of us replying with assorted links to items on our site and a small blurb of text regarding each product, we finally created this listing which is meant to be a one-stop, do-it-all package for folk who are just getting into this hobby or just starting to learn about lockpicking for professional development.

There's always more to learn and do and there may be other tools you want to acquire in future, but for the most fundamental set of gear, we present you with this handy kit.  It has all of these items to learn about lockpicking...

1. Essential Lock Pick Set - Our most accessible yet capable tool set, these picks and turners will allow you to approach not just the included locks but also loads of the locks you encounter in the real world.  Featuring hooks, rakes, and the all-important half-diamond pick along with turning tools of varied thickness, there's no set of tools that is simpler yet functional.

2. Progressive Training Lock Set - Used in professional locksmithing classrooms and training courses where covert entry professionals learn their craft, this set of six Key-in-Knob (KIK) cylinders are progressively-pinned, allowing students to ramp up their challenge and build skill in a way that is rewarding and easily-paced.  The set of locks also includes a baggie of spare parts so that you can continue to evolve your practice locks into more diverse and unique challenges as your abilities grow.

3. MikeDev Compact Lock Stand - Holding locks in one's bare hands is sometimes done when merely picking for fun, but the most appropriate and realistic way of learning about lockpicking involves mounting your practice locks in a fixed position so that you have both hands free to hold and operate your picks and turning tools.  Some people purchase a hobby vice or other large product, but the MikeDev Compact Lock Stand was designed to mount to plenty of surfaces either by the use of binder clips, magnets, or screws in order to hold a Key-in-Knob (KIK) cylinder firmly and comfortably.

4. Signed Copy of Practical Lock Picking Book (Optional) - There are plenty of educaitonal resources online that teach about lockpicking, and we encourage everyone to make use of the wonder of the internet and the bounty of knowledge that is on YouTube and other platforms.  However, if you wish, you can also include a hard-copy of one of the more popular printed books on this topic.  Select whether or not you'd like a copy of Practical Lock Picking when you're adding this bundle to your web cart.  As with all books by Deviant Ollam sold on Red Team Tools, this copy is signed by the author.
